Financial Literacy
Shouldn't Be a Privilege.
The Elevated Financial & Wellness Foundation is being built right now — one community at a time. Watch the journey as we build something the people who need it most have never had.
We're Building This in Public — and You're Invited.
Most nonprofits appear fully formed — grant money secured, board seated, programs running. We're doing something different.
We're documenting every step of building the Elevated Financial & Wellness Foundation from the ground up — from the first community conversation to our 501(c)(3) approval, from our first advisory council member to our first funded program. Every milestone, every challenge, every win — shared openly so our community can see exactly how this is being built and why it matters.
"I've spent years watching what happens when capable people don't have access to the information that changes lives. So instead of waiting until everything is perfect to show up — we're showing up now, and letting you watch it happen."
Follow the journey on Instagram and LinkedIn, or join our email list to receive Foundation updates directly. Your support — even just following along — helps us document the community demand that funders and grantmakers look for.
The Foundation Timeline
This is a living timeline. We update it as milestones happen — so you can watch every step of this Foundation being built in real time.
Wealth gaps are built on information gaps.
The people who need financial literacy the most — individuals navigating poverty, families raising children with disabilities, first-generation entrepreneurs, and underserved communities — often have the least access to quality financial education. Not because they aren't capable. Because nobody built it for them.
Gabrielle Walcott spent years inside NYC's Human Resources Administration and the NYC Department of Education — including organizing family advocacy for the Citywide Council for District 75, one of the largest special education systems in the country. She watched brilliant families stay financially stuck, not from lack of effort, but from lack of access to the right information at the right time.
The Elevated Financial & Wellness Foundation exists to close that gap. Permanently.
What the Foundation Will Do
The Elevated Financial & Wellness Foundation will deliver free and low-cost financial literacy education, wellness programming, and advocacy services to underserved individuals and families.
Free workshops, coaching sessions, and resources for individuals who have never had access to quality financial education.
Support for families navigating special education systems — helping parents understand their rights and plan for their children's futures.
Holistic programs connecting financial stress, mental wellness, and long-term economic stability.
A Foundation Built Around Real Communities
We're Building Our Advisory Council
Before the Foundation formally launches, we are assembling an Advisory Council — a team of community leaders, educators, financial professionals, and advocates who share this mission and will help shape what we build.
Advisory Council members are not voting board members — they carry no fiduciary responsibility. They bring expertise, open doors, and ensure this Foundation is built with and for the community, not just for it.
Helps ensure our IEP advocacy programming is grounded in real educational practice and community need.
Ensures financial rigor, supports grant compliance, and lends credibility to our financial literacy curriculum.
Connects the Foundation to the communities we serve and ensures programming reflects real needs.
Guides the Foundation through formation, governance, and compliance.
Bridges the Foundation's programming to the individuals and families who need it most.
Brings professional network, fundraising credibility, and organizational leadership.
"I'm not waiting until everything is perfect to start building this. The need is real, it's here, and it's now. So we're building out loud — with this community, for this community — and every person who follows this journey, shares a post, or reaches out to get involved is already part of what we're creating together."
There Are Multiple Ways to Be Part of This
The Foundation isn't just being built by one person. It's being built by everyone who shows up, shares the mission, and says "yes" when asked. Here's how you can be part of it right now — before we officially launch.
Join our email list for Foundation updates, free financial literacy resources, and milestone announcements. Following along and engaging with our content is one of the most powerful things you can do — it documents the community demand that funders look for.
Share our posts, tell a friend, or tag someone who needs this work in their life. Word of mouth builds the kind of community trust that money can't buy — and it directly strengthens our grant applications.
If you are an educator, financial professional, community leader, attorney, social worker, or business leader who believes in this mission — we want to hear from you. Advisory Council members help shape programming and connect us to the communities we serve.
Are you an organization, school, business, or community group that serves the populations this Foundation will support? Let's explore a partnership. Community partnerships are one of the strongest signals funders look for.
